Waste Management Awareness Programmed At Our School On 23-07-2025

On July 23, 2025, as part of our Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Action program, Municipality officers conducted a Waste Management Awareness Programme at our school.
This initiative aimed to educate students and staff on proper waste disposal, recycling practices, and waste minimization.

The program featured interactive sessions, demonstrations of waste segregation, and presentations on the environmental impact of waste management.

Officers explained the different types of waste—biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and hazardous—and demonstrated proper sorting techniques. They also emphasized the benefits of recycling, such as conserving natural resources, reducing landfill usage, and decreasing pollution. Furthermore, the program highlighted actions to reduce waste, including using reusable containers, avoiding single-use plastics, and composting organic waste.

This initiative reflects the SDG goals related to environmental sustainability and responsible consumption and production, emphasizing the role of our local community in achieving these global objectives. Together, we can contribute to a sustainable future.
