SAIRAM MATRIC HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL commemorated Students’ Day, observing the Birth Anniversary of the “Missile Man”, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. School students, along with the JRC (Junior Red Cross) and Scout & Guide troops, participated in a tree-planting initiative, planting palm seeds at the Kekkarai area. This activity was undertaken as part of the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Action Programme, specifically addressing SDG Goal No. 13: Climate Action. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about climate change and promote environmental sustainability among the students and the local community. Dr. Kalam’s emphasis on education, innovation, and environmental stewardship served as an inspiration for this meaningful event.
