Subject: Road Safety and Helmet Awareness Rally Report
Venue: Sairam Matriculation High School, Tiruvarur
Preparation:
As planned, on March 15, 2025, at 9:45 AM, the Road Safety and Helmet Awareness Rally (SDG-11: Sustainable Cities and Communities) was ready to start at the school campus.
Launch Event:
Based on the letter submitted in advance at the police station, the sub-inspector and the police came to our school. They were warmly welcomed by our school principal, who honored them with scout and guide scarves and given mementos as a token of appreciation.
Commencement of the Rally:
At 10:00 am, 124 students took part in the rally under the guidance of police officers, guards and 12 school teachers*(Sarojini.R,Nithya.G,Seethaladevi.B , Purushothaman.S,Subathirai.V, Chellmeenal.A,Akilandeswari.K,Bhakyalakshmi.N, Sivakumar.T, Selval.S, Suresh Kana.L,K.Balakrishnan)
The rally started from the school premises and took place through the four main streets around the Thyagaraja Temple.
Students carried banners and raised awareness slogans and enthusiastically participated in the rally stressing the importance of road safety.
At 11:00 am the rally reached the school again.
Refreshments:
The principal of the school gave refreshments to all the students and teachers who participated in the rally.
