The Bharath Scouts and Guides, Sairam District Association, successfully hosted a Bunnies camp at Sairam Matric Higher Secondary School Thiruvarur. The camp, designed for young children, aimed to introduce them to the values and principles of scouting and guiding in a fun and engaging environment.
The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the Kuthuvilakku, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the beginning of a positive and enlightening experience. Following this auspicious start, the Bunny leader delivered a warm welcome address, setting the tone for the day’s activities. The Principal of Sairam Matric Higher Secondary School, Mrs. LATCHOUMY ASHOK, delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the importance of scouting and guiding in character development and instilling values in young minds. The Chief Guest, Mrs. Tamilarasi from Livelife Education, further inspired the attendees with her address, highlighting the significance of holistic education and life skills.
The camp featured a variety of engaging activities tailored to the Bunnies’ age group. These included:
– Craft sessions where the children learned to make paper plates, fostering creativity and fine motor skills.
– A practical session on preparing healthy fruit salads, promoting awareness of nutrition and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) of Good Health and Well-being.
